Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Animo Tech Pvt. Ltd. ("Animo Tech", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit heycaret.com or join the Caret waitlist. We've kept this short and direct.

1. Who we are

Caret is a product built by Animo Tech Pvt. Ltd., a company incorporated in India. We are the data controller responsible for personal information collected through this website.

2. What we collect

Email address — only if you submit it via our waitlist form.
Submission metadata — timestamp, the page URL you submitted from, and your browser's user-agent string. We store this alongside your email to help us debug submissions and understand which traffic sources convert.
Anonymous usage analytics — aggregated, privacy-friendly metrics (page views, country, referrer) collected via Cloudflare Web Analytics. This data does not identify you and we do not use third-party advertising cookies.

We do not collect your name, IP address (beyond what Cloudflare uses transiently for DDoS protection), location beyond country, or any payment information. Caret is in private beta and is not yet billable.

3. How we use it

To send you product updates, beta invites, and launch announcements about Caret.
To understand how people find and use the marketing site, so we can improve it.
To respond to questions or requests you send us directly.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not use your information to train AI models.

4. Where it lives

Waitlist submissions are stored in a Google Sheet hosted on Google Workspace, accessible only to Animo Tech personnel. The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and served through Cloudflare's CDN. Both providers are bound by their own privacy commitments and standard data-processing agreements.

5. Cookies

We don't set marketing or tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly-necessary cookies to deliver the site securely (e.g. bot protection). Your browser may store standard session data — nothing we ourselves read or share.

6. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

See what information we hold about you.
Correct or update it.
Delete it (we'll remove your row from the waitlist sheet within 7 days).
Stop receiving emails — every email we send includes an unsubscribe option.

To exercise any of these, contact us via the channel listed in section 9.

7. Retention

We keep waitlist data until you ask us to delete it, or until 24 months after Caret's general availability launch — whichever is sooner — at which point we'll prune entries that haven't engaged with us.

8. Children

Caret is not intended for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we'll delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date above. Material changes — anything that expands what we collect or how we use it — will be communicated to waitlist members by email before the change takes effect.
